The futures in good hands with Green Futures Now

Chatting to the Green Futures Now! crew about what change they’d like to make in our community.

Fruit Rescue was busy chatting to the next generation of leaders at the Green Futures Now! workshops this month.

Green Futures Now! is a leadership program for 12-25 year olds living in Warrnambool City Council beginning with a series of workshops that connect young people with the work happening locally to mitigate, adapt and respond to climate change.

We shared about the impact that Fruit Rescue has on reducing greenhouse gas emissions by reducing food waste and transport and how we're working to create a connected community that better understands where their food comes from.

Their knowledge was so impressive, with some great questions posed about how we can better connect with young people - we're really looking forward to seeing how their own project shapes up.
